Disco vs Defender
muddymart:
im same bezzabsa drive works 7.5 t every day with plenty of room. disco seating i can tolerate, but different people have said the seating in 90/110 is tight
Bob696:
There again I am totaly the opposite. I can drive a defender all day (and have done) whilst I have yet to find another car where I can drive for more than an hour.
Drove an astra I had once for 2 hours and couldnt get out of the car when we stopped  (well, I crawled out as it happens)
I have driven my 90 from dudley to Carlisle with no stops (200 miles) and in the summer I drove our 110 450 miles through france in one day. In both cases no cramp or sore bum.
bensonsnuts:
I'm 6ft 2 and have no problem getting comfy in the Disco . The driving position feels very trucklike but thats ok.
Tried a couple of 90's and 110's etc and found the driving position terrible !
You are sat with your shoulder wedged against the door and pillar . While that may hold you firmly when offroad it's bloody uncomfortable.
Hangover:
The Defender 90 is the dogs do das but after 60 miles my left leg would start to loose feeling,i had my 90 knicked before christmas but am looking to get another shortly, forget swaping the disco, you will need to stump up serious cash for a nice 300tdi 90 which is the best option in my opinion.
muddymart:
this has come up in so many conversations ive had with people over the last couple of weeks when ive been chatting to them, you can tell im a local driver :?
