Disco vs Defender
Muddy:
I to prefer defenders but you metion you have 3 kids, if any of them require a booster seat then you will either need a 110csw=mega money or exmoor trim forward facing seats=again flippin expensive and take up a fair bit of room. if i had kids i'm not sure whether i would be hapy with them traveling on bench seats.
just something to bear in mind when thinking about it. i think that with some 235/85 muds and trim your arches and you have a very good motor that will follow a similer equiped 90 most places.
will.
muddymart:
true, youngest is 3 and thats a good point,
our kids safety is paramount and although i like the look of the 90's, maybe its not about having the cake and eating it, and 90% of the defenders ive looked at have bench seats, maybe the law (im not sure) would be leanient with me, with the kids on bench seats?
Muddy:
I dont think the law would be too please and just think about the consequences in the event of an accident  i would not want to be in the back and i'm 6'4 so could brace myself ect, i think the only place for a 3yr old is the front passenger or second row (110 etc).
Just my 2p worth.
muddymart:
vaild point though...Muddy,
thinking about it twice ,or spending over budget which i dont want to do :!:
Bob696:
TBH your only option with 3 young kids is a 110 CSW :( as I dont think it is possable to get 3 forward facing seats in the rear of a 90.
One option would to fit RR rear bench seat in the front of a 90 (seen it on a thread in the defender section) allowing 3 in the front of the 90 including the youngest in a booster seat.
TD arn't too bad if they have had regular oil changes and such and you could always fit a disco 200Tdi later when funds allow. I think that option would be a cheaper step than buying a factory 200Tdi
