Disco vs Defender

<< < (5/8) > >>

Dave:
Well a standard 90/110 will be better than a standard disco offroad but if you are modding them up, it the kit you choose that make the motor.
As you say you are tall not good in a defender or a disco. So as you say try one or two out first at the end of the day it all personal choice  .
Good look with that choice.

AbyssDJ:
yep best way to do it!

muddymart:
yep i'd deff get a standard one then , buy the stuff as i go along as thats the most fun !!

i think best thing to do is go and test drive a few at some garages, and see for myself,

do they come in tdi and standard diesel?

AbyssDJ:
3.5 V8, 2.5NA, 2.5TD (generally avoid this one if poss), 200tdi, 300tdi, td5

those are the usuals :) you often find them fitted with others though, mazda turbo's and the likes

--- Quote from: "muddymart" ---i know where your 'e coming from Dave, the 90/110's are more eye pleasing for me for some reason,
for ride comfort i'd really have to go in a defender and see for myself,

ive heard that seating is tighter in the front, im not saying im a big lad, but im a tall 'en and like my space,

as above, must try before i buy

had a 110 - went mad for 1 - then after about 6 weeks my knees cried 'enough' you can alter the seating position - but then sacrifice rear room.. i am now back with a discovery, and my knee doesnt ache 1/2 as much (have the start of arthritis) i drive about 75000 miles a year in my hgv - which isnt as bad as it seems as I have room to stretch my leg - but in the 110 it was stuck in 1 position..
