No disrespect, but why would anyone pinch that Disco - definitely not for the panels!!!

No, unlikely. But its got a good engine, gearbox, axles, steering box, vin plate, and plenty of other snippets of significant cash value.
Chances are, they are exactly the right parts somebody will have already paid the blaggards for.
I've known of even more 'distinctive' vehicles that that one go missing.
Sad world.
Ta for the support guys.
cheers

I think Im going to look into a Tracker

For £399 installation and then either £10 a month or £325 for the lifetime of ownership, its a little price to pay for one of the best methods of security and recovery

It's all well and good tracking them but they still have to be recovered. I read in a trucking magazine a few months ago, of a van that was stolen. The police tracked it to a pikey campsite but refused to go in and get it. Some time later when the pikeys had moved on the van was found stripped and burnt out.
To quote from Snatch "I f***in' hate pikeys"

Very sensible course of action, I will be taking the same route soon as I can afford it. Freind of mine in London had her car stolen, the police recovered it within an hour of it being reported, found it in a lock up garage.
