Thieves!

Trackers are a good idea, my dad has one on his wagon (When you've spent around 60K you want to protect it). I would be looking into one for when I get my car, but for over £700 for a lifetime membership it fare eats into the modification budget.
Basically, if a theif wants your car then they are going to take it, but it's your job to make it as hard as possible for them to do it. I found the best way is to make sure whenever we have a car on the drive it's parked behind my dads van (he goes out at like 5am so it's clear whenever the car is moved) then theres one more obsticle for them to get round.

There are nice simple solutions too :
1. Remove HT lead and keep in house.
2. Remove rotor arm.
3. Be git and pull the fuel pump fuse :-)
Of course these only work on a petrol version. Having an auto that won't start makes it slightly harder for them to move and get up onto to a low loader ;-)

The only problem with a Tracker is that you have to realise that some scrote has nicked the motor, then phone up the Tracker peeps to get the device activated - only once it's been activated will it show up on the Plods in-car receivers !
In theory, your pride & joy could get nicked late at night, trailered away and burned out/stripped before you've got out of bed the next morning - waste of loads of beer tokens
I reckon, what's needed is a physical method of disabling/securing the motor - something that will involve lots of noise to get around, so just maybe the scrotes will think twice about nicking the motor. I remember some guy (in South Africa ?) having flaming gas jets under the car - if you got too close (after a warning), you got torched !!!

What about just attatching lots of chains to the car that hang of the wheels, bumper, axle, chassis etc so if it were moved it would make loads of noise or the scrotes would be there for ages either cutting them or cable tieing them up but on the wheels it would be tricky to tie them up as it will put the balance out too and be like spokey dokeys on a bike but a big boys toys version!

Ive already got a Clifford Concept 600 with Pager on mine :) Tilt and Lift sensors + promiximity that screaches at you with quite a peircing sound.
This would be the icing on the cake so to speak and Im sorry but for either £399 + £10 a month or the 700 ish lifetime cost that is a small price to pay for something that would probably have cost you 4000 ish+ not including your mods plus your own personal pleasure in making it YOUR landy.
Im sure everyone could sacrfice some beer tokens in order to keep their landy safe.
