i completly disagree thqat they should change the age and that young drivers are always the cause, yes there are some muppets out there that once they pass their test they get in their corsa and drive like a complete A$$ but there are also more people in the older age brackets that are a big cause aswell
when i passed my test i was a very carful driver, i had a series 2a SWB which would get 70 at a push and had very heavy steering, and even at 19 when i had my fiat punto i was carful, and it was other people that caused accidents my landy i had some 30 something boy racer run in to the back of me, and my fiat i had a 40-50 year old woman run in the back of me because "she didnt see me" and an 80 something old woman pull out on me from a side road and i run over her wing and bonnet in my disco, i have only had 2 accidents that have been my fault, one when i ran into a fence in my metro, and i didnt put my rangie into park properly, and it dented the rear doors of my neibours van,
i drive faster and more aggressive now than i did when i passed 6 years ago

Reduce the age from 17-20 to 18-20 aught to at least make the statistics look better

simple way to save teenagers lives, ban them from taking passengers and limit them to hideously slow cars.
and teach them to drive in a car with no abs, no traction control, no power steering, no synchromesh. actually teach them to drive!!
