That's because they had no say in it, no say in the bid but have to pay for it.

I'm getting the raving hump about it ;). I didn't support the Manc chester bid or the Birmingham one. I didn't support the world student games bid in Sheffield either. I got to pay for it :x.
I'm with WaveyDavey on this one, it's a minority who wanted the olympics in the uk and managed to get the gov't on-side with a projected costing of £3billion.
Well what do you know, now that lundon has got the 2012 games, the cost has TRIPLED to £9.35BILLION.
MY money could have been better spent, how about the world "let's make homelessness a thing of the past" games? that'd make the world a better place to live wouldn't it? far better than the millenium dome MarkII.
Now, I'm fancying a bowling alley in my garage :-k is it fair I expect tax payers to foot the bill [-X
