When the (real) depression comes and so does Anarchy with it. Those in power have a lot to answer for.

Britain Anarchy?? hahahahahahaha in your dreams. Maybe if you'd said when the Apathy comes I might have agreed with you. But Anarchy you're living in Cloud Cuckoo land.
SEDDEY:
The disco stays!
I will use the bike to get to work more often, as I have over the last month. We will all be on little scooters (mine a 1500cc cruiser doning 45-ish mpg round town) to get to work to be able to afford to play at the weekend.
What about a petrol bubble!? They are doing almost the same mileage as diesel ones and petrol is cheaper! I have a P reg Polo that the wife uses. I bought it 2 years ago for £1400, it does 45+ to the gallon and I have been offered £1000 for it the other week.
One bloke at work just got rid of his big car, not a 4x4, and bought a Yaris. £35 a year tax and 60+ to the gallon. He has kept the old 4x4 to tow the horse box and reckons he will save a fortune even with the cost of the car new.
Bush Tucker Man:
I've started running/riding to work.
Admittedly it's only about 4 miles by the most direct route (through woods/ along the River Calder bank)
I leave uniform in my locker, & get changed when I get there (it's roughly a 30minute run in day-light & was 32 at 22:00)
If I start to run it more, I might look into a head-torch :-k

...and that's why the fuel prices will continue to go up and up and up. ;)
