i would ask and find out about the cpc as you may find you need to take it i,ve not got all the info yet but my old man is in the road haulage assoc so he is keeping me posted as to whats happening there is some info here
Sider:
.-Blue (Used to be secondary air circuit)
.-Dolly knot (just google it, it is quite easy once you've done it a couple of times)
.-Excesive Speed (picture cornering fast with something on your dashboard)
.-Exhaust Brake (It limits the amount of gas that can leave the cylinders, slowing down the engine)
For HGV, if you get your licence before 10th September 2009, you will be awarded the CPC driver on grandfather's rights.
And BTW, well done on the theory. Now don't forget it, some of the questions will be repeated on the practical, though your instructor should tell you which ones.

You just get a restriction code for what used to be Class 1, if like me you hold Class 2 entitlement.
Although to be honest I did Class 3, two axle rigid body HGV with the Army and was regularly towing HGV Trailers (mainly 30KVa Generators), when they changed the Licensing the last time, and that meant I gained grandfather rights for Class 2, multiple axle rigid body LGV, because I towed LGV Trailers.
At that time we had an off-road cone test, which you had to pass before an on-road test, but it being the Army we also did practical off-road where you used low range 4x4 in the HGV over an army off-road training course (lots of fun!).
Never used my Licence on Commercial Vehicles (not used a Tachograph) and haven't driven LGV since 1992 after leaving the Army.
I hit 45 in a couple of years, and it'll not really be worthwhile taking the medical.
I have been thinking about buying an old 57 seat coach converted into a large caravanette, anyone know the licensing requirements to drive one of those, including how many seats I'd be restricted to on the vehicle?
My current Licence holds the following entitlement;
A, B, BE, B1, C
CE Code 102
C1E Code 107
D1 Code 101
D1E Codes 101 & 119
f, k, l, n, p
Plus there's a general Code 115 in the box at the bottom???
If anyone can throw light on this I'd appreciate it.

as far as I am aware a minibus has no weight restriction on it. So maybe make a coach a minibus. You will have that on your license. ;)

Congrats matey :dance:when you pass your test, youll get a full class 2 licence which allows you to drive anything basically that doesnt bend in the middle,ie you cant drive an artic but your class 2 is a provisional class 1 licence, and no you cant drive a bus,not without a pcv licence (i have both pcv and class 1)
