muddyjames:
Today has been the day for the hgv / lgv theory test. :o :-\

In the test I needed to get 51 correct answers out of 60 for the questions part and I got 54. Hazard perception part I needed 50 out of 75 points and I got 63. So all in all, that counts as a............... PASS  ;D :o

Next up, the practicle!

Well, caravan selling then practicle! :D

As you can see I got a couple of questions wrong. The ones I think they were and you folks might be able to help me out on the right answers are.

You are coupling up a trailer which has 2 air lines. which colour air line do you NOT attatch. I had no idea and guessed black.

Which knot is best to use to secure a load? I guessed a slip not.  I know zilch about knots!

Which is likely to make an unsecure load fall off? I had to mark 3 but the 3rd I was unsure of between these 2 answers. Excessive speed or a railway crossing. I went for the railway crossing.

Another was you are going down a steep hill and dont want the breaks to over heat. What else can you use? I said the engine retarder. Anotheroption was a secondary break and 2 other things.

But I'm happy as I didnt even revise for it. A bit daft but caravan selling and other things happened and before I knew it I got a reminder on my phone that it was the next day.

landroverkeith:
congrats on the pass james

I woulda thought the going down hill bit without burnin out brakes would be use a low gear???

muddyjames:
cheers Keith.

There wasn't a low gear option. That is what I thought it would have been as well, hence why I went for the engine retarder as that was the closest to the engine breaking I could think of. :-k

TDi90:
ha ha a slip knot!  :doh: =;
a bolyn, or 8 knot, or rolling hitch i would have said.
but well done

Sharpshooter:
A dolly and half hitches should clench that one.
