Mr Alford:
answer to all your questions been and looked at the car

i defintely have a 200tdi engine without a doubt as my water pumpo for a start is double the size

altho i have as it seems a 300tdi exhaust system

as for the cat gentle men you do no necesarily have to get a bit of pipe to remove it, i have done this on a few cars in the past, a nice solid metal bar that is longer than the cat and just smash out the honeycomb will take about 5-10 mins quite dusty but good fun and what a difference it makes

If it's got a 300Tdi system on it, then it will be modified....

The downpipe is very different!!!

Also... if you smash up a CAT - I wouldn't be breathing in the fumes!

Exactly what I was thinking - there are all sorts of funny metals in there that probably wouldn't do your lungs any favours! Will have to order one of those from Paddock after Christmas.
