Turbo queries?
stageonesimmo:
Are we not just talking about the flexi-joint here? I really cant see why anyone would go to the expense of putting a cat on a 200, but they do have flexis same as 300's IIRC.............
Disco-Ron:
Mine has no flexi.....
Ja1983:
no cat or flexi here.. i recon someones been swapping bits around, best bet would be to get a 200tdi of similar vintage, and play spot the difference.. but if the wrong exhaust has been fitted, it wont help. id also be looing to replace fuel filter, clean sedimenter, and a general service too. its amazing how much of a difference it can make having a motor running "as it was intended to" rather than "as it does after years of abuse, neglect, and mis guided modification.."
you may also have issues with back pressure due to only having half an exhaust - definatley replace the lot!
Ralph:
why smash cat up???? take it to local scrapyard and they will exchange it for at least £40 and then get new down pipe better job all round
Range Rover Blues:
I'd agree, depending on whether it's a factory cat or an aftermarket though, but complete they are worth a few quid.
