And they want MORE money?!??

GREENI:
I don't really like the post service,
and with there strikes, can easily put small business' under...
"Boo hiss boo" to them.

I'd wait for the offending postman, and call him names...

I'd say something stronger, but I would hate to get this thread locked :P

Evilgoat:
I will be speaking to the post office tomorrow and making an official complaint.

freelanderpx54:
During the summer I ordered some ink cartridges from www.inkandstuff.co.uk and they took a month to get from Scotland to Manchester. THe reason why?? Some <insert>in the post office had sent them via Dublin. This last week we have had no post, today we have had a weeks worth shoved through the letterbox.

Like others, I have no sympathy for the postal workers. They will destroy their jobs on their own as businesses use the private sector to do the job that they can't or more to the point won't

Sider:
I have to admit, not having been impressed by the postal service in either Canterbury or Welwyn Garden City, it came as a big surprise to find a really professional one in Luton.

Having spoken to him when we first moved in, and told him that since I work nights, I spend the whole day at home, and having asked him to insist if there was anything that required signing or problematic, he does his utmost best to come around about 2ish (probably the end of his round), so as to let me sleep as late as possible, and he does make an effort to wake me up. When he doesn't need to see me, he normally delivers around 10, so I can honestly say that we struck oil with this chap.

On top of that, when my retired neighbour offered to collect the mail for us, the postie didn't object in the least. Back in Canterbury, we had to fill endless forms to authorise the postie to deliver next door if a signature was required/parcel too big.

wellieboot:
To add to the increasing lack of sympathy the PO get, my posties are terrible. Forged signatures, packages left on the front door (including one rare book - i.e one of only three in existance).

As said in the post above, they're not doing themselves any favours.

I know their are more people work for the PO than just do delivering (my father worked for them for 30 years), but their 'front of house' staff really, really need sorting out.

As does the complaints proceedure, which is (family friendly forum) 'next to useless'.

Evilgoat - I can sympathise.
