coffee boy:
may sound silly i had the same mounting prob with the clutch on a g9 and an arb had 3 people look at it and no help then i rang goodwinch prob solved! turn the winch around 45%so the base was on the front section of bumper hey presto the clutch lever was on the top out of the way!
pas:
I thought about that one but didn't like the look of the set up as the lever is on the top of the winch anyway and would be down the back of the drum near the radiator if I mounted it on the front of the bumper but i'm still in the thinking stages so please keep suggestions comming , one thought is see if they sell another lever bent the other way

found the T max website www.t-maxwinches.com
sounds impressive
"From down under, T-MAX is Australia's answer to MAXIMUM OFF-ROAD RECOVERYâ„¢. Developed, engineered and specified for Australia's demanding standards, T-MAX is a full-line of superior off-road recovery winches, straps and equipment. Each winch and recovery accessory is built every bit as tough as the land and environment it was designed for. Because T-MAX, with more standard features than other winches, is intentionally manufactured better than other winches.
It's verifiably every bit as rugged as the outback. In fact, T-MAX winches undergo brutal testing in the extreme 4WD terrain of Australia to assure zero-defect performance. Only after a T-MAX winch has proven its product worthiness in field testing, is it given the clearance to be exported to North America"
