Let me know what you think of the winch might be getting one
the same so be interested to hear what you have to say about it.

pas:
just tried offering the winch up to the bumper and found the first problem.....the clutch/free spool lever clashes with the lower bar of the bull bar so i'll have to chop that and find somewhere else for my spots  , just waiting for a mate to arrive with my angle grinder

T-max (formally Come Up?) and a few others are made in a chinese factory that also make several other well known brands of winch.
I have a 9000lb winch that I know is a Ramsey in all but name, cost £300+vat & carriage and has prooved itself on my winch virgin busting trip to Severn Sisters where it pulled a 110 out of the river that it had fallen into.
The money I saved on the winch, I used to buy 100ft of plasma (the knock on effect being I saved a further £50 as it didn't come with the wire rope, so weight saving in carriage and discount and I sold the roller fairlead.

One bit I learned is think carefully about how you want it wired up. Mine runs from the aux battery so isn't quick, but won't flatten the system and can run with the engine off.
