Vam:

--- Quote from: "Wanderer" ---Ah the "blister" power bulge.
Mine had the power bulge with it being a 3.0. It wasn't the little one which was on later cars.

Where did you live In Nottingham Helen?
I can't remember a specialist Capri breakers.

Have no idea what type of Capri Dads was, other than it seemed bigger than usual, and he was dead chuffed with it.
Was a big blister and I had to be suitably impressed :wink:

We lived in Beeston, off Queens Road.
We reckon they shut down about 1998, then about a year later it opened up again. Don't know how long they'd been going or even the trade name.

Never paid them too much notice TBH, they were right miserable gits and parking from them was a bone of contention :roll:

HWMBO saw the *scum* artical on the train one day... It expalined all the possing and showing off he'd been doing recently :wink:

The picture that started this thread reminds me more of a Metro 6R4 than any Ford.

I'd also like to point out to all the pink spectacle wearers that a 2.8/3.0L Crapi puts out about 150 - 160 BHP standard, my 2.5L Turbo diesel car beats that :)

All the way through this thread I've been thinking about the hamlet advert where the guy has just fitted his Escort (I think) with something resembling an x-pack.. then promptly drives out of his narrow gate and removes the lot :-)

<cue double bass>

SteveH:
:lol: good advert that was :)

Vam:

I remember that one :lol:  :lol:
