missing child in portugal
Hightower:
--- Quote from: "Discohugh" ---The hurt these parents are feeling must be truly unbearable

Unfortunately not unbearable enough for them to start lobbying the government and create a media frenzy. Funny how they want everybody in the whole country to sort their mess out for them isn't it?
I'm sorry, but they are adults and parents. This incident, whilst tragic, is of their own doing. As with society in general these days, they are not taking responsibility for their actions.
Oh, and I'm sure they'll like the royalty cheques when they make the movie about the whole thing as well.
And if they do find who took her, lets hope they suffer for their actions (although they'll probably just be put in a prison, be fed 3 times a day and be given a nice widescreen telly with a playstation to keep them entertained).
Bitter and twisted from India . . . .

Fair point ,i personally in no way condone what they did, totally lacking in responsibility and common sense especially when it was 3 children!!!!. In this day and age child security should be the one and only priority in your life (if you have kids  ). We went to Tunisia a couple years back and were in our room sometimes as early as 6.00pm as kids exhausted with no evening meal for us but one of us could still pop down to get a snack if we needed leaving one always with kids, sacrifice you make for them.

I feel SO sorry for the child and her family but the parents should be arrested for neglect, sod the pain they are feeling they deserve it!
Callous but they do!
I would not even pop next door with out taking my two children with me if no one else was in!
We will probably eventually discover she just woke up crying and went to find mummy and daddy and has stumbled to her death.. I sincerely hope not though for her sake I hope with all my heart she will be found safe and sound.
Poor little mite.

Hi
i have to say that i agree with all that has been said - whilst i hope and pray that Maddy is returned home - why on earth did the parents not take advantage of the babysitting that was available.
we were in a similar situation with L&J, we were in a hotel for a 50th birthday party, the girls were about a year old. we had a room that we could see from the restaurant. we went back every half an hour to make sure that the baby sitter was not derelict in her duties - the poor girl probably thought we were crazy but our children are the most important things. we have never left them alone, as previous parents have said - we gave up our right to a quiet life and dinners without kids once the girls were born.
whilst i can understand the distress this must be causing the parents - they are making a meal out of it
regards
ela
