missing child in portugal
Thrasher:
Um....we've left the kids in the caravan while we've sat outside (8 and 10) - say 50 yards away - at shows. Anyone else?
At the end of the day it looks like this was foul play - and I'll not be letting them in there on their on now :(

I would never, & have never left my daughter on her own, she is my n°1 priority at all times, she never leaves my sight when out & about, although she doesn't always know I'm making sure she's ok, I always am. These peope have made a mistake, a terrible mistake, that will live with them for the rest of their lives (whether Madeline is found alive or not) we shouldn't say it's what they deserve, because no-one "deserves" what they're going through, or what that poor girl may have been through. I can't imagine the pain that that family are experiencing at this moment & I hope you never do.

This makes my blood boil! I work in the village where this family comes from its been taken over by press and tv crews in the last fortnight trying to scrape up dirt. I have a little god sun who is 3 I won't let him out of my sight he is more than capable of opening the front door yep it takes a while for him to fetch summat to stand on and fiddle the chain but it can be done they are clever little so and so's when they want to be.
I also think if the childs mother had been 16 and a single mum off the local council estate the authorities would have hung, drawn and quartered here by now. seems ok to leave a 3 year old if ya a doctor though.
Hope they find her safe and sound.

 When I first heard about this story, I assumed that they were at a bar situated at the base of the apartment block they were staying in, but the plan showed the flat to be a good walk away going past a swimming pool. I have two children, 4 and 6, if you have kids you sacrifice a part of your life eg: going out to bars etc, to look after them.
When I was about 5 (in the 70's), and living in Nairobi, my mum left me in her unlocked car to go to the super market, the delivery boy came back without her to put the shopping in the car and I beat the living hell out of him with my bare hands!!
The parents, I am sure, are being punished enough, self reproach is worse than anything.
Please God they find her.

I dont want to argue about the whats and who etc. My only concern is that the poor little girl is found safe and well, i have 2 children 4 and 5 yrs i cannot imagine life without them. The hurt these parents are feeling must be truly unbearable and more than enough punishment to carry with them for the rest of their days. I truly do hope she is returned soon and safe ,god bless.
