missing child in portugal

Whilst I don't condon what the parents have done or did the fact is its been done, it can't be undone and they have to live with their mistake. I have a little girl who is 7 months and by chance is also called Maddy, seeing the distress that her mother is going through it makes me feel sad as I would never want to be in that situation. Now I never leave my little girl anywhere for a second but I think its fair to say that at some point every parent has done it, no matter how longer/shorter time or where or when.
My parents love me to bits and are not irresponsable people and I wouln't hear anyone saying otherwise but I remember my parents leaving me alone in the car every week whilst they went shopping at the supermarket and we went to look at a house to buy that was located about 50 miles away from where we lived and again I waited in the car.
If they find her alive and please god they do or not alive then they have to live with that for the rest of their lives. I do agree that as doctors they should know better or used the babysitter duties but its done now so no point saying "well I would of...."

Lets just pray that she is found and also that the portugal police step it up as so far I think they have been so lapse.

On a different whim, the mother looks distraught but he looks calm and collected....hmm :-k

On what do you base that comment?
If it's what you read in the tabloids and hear on the telly, how can you believe it?  Media frenzy as mentioned before.  Last week anti 4x4's, this week missing child, next week anti 4x4's again . .
I'm sure they are doing all they can, and that the truth will out one way or another.

True I am going on what I watch and read but thats all we can all go on. Your probably right about they're doing all they can but with portugal law they clam up and don't say anything so from an outsider looking in, as the whole world is you go on what you read or see.

As for a media frenzy, if I was in the position they are in and my daughter was missing then I would try and get as much exposure as I could. Imagine it - foreign country, foreign police etc etc, would you not do the same :?:

Let's hope they find her safe and sound, THEN worry about the idiocy of the parents!

Quiet Dinners Without The Kids...... :?:

Lotty (5) and I have been out for a curry tonight...... Amanda had a school govonors meeting and I was starving.... Lou wanted Crispy Pancakes (poppodoms) And Chicken And White Rice..... because she was hungry we stayed and didn't get a take-a-way....

Lou and I eat out together, alone a lot...... actually I take lou out for dinner just the two of us more than Amanda and I eat out alone!

Amanda and I wouldn't dream of purposely leaving lou at home with a sitter just to go out and eat....

Mexican, Italian, Chinky, Indian, portugese.... Lou loves it all.... for me / us it's more fun with her there than not.... I won't evn start with holidays!

find Maddy soon!
