please pay close attention in the story to the location of the parents compared to where the child was!

its a very bad thing to happen but even so you cant just leave a 3yr old in an apartment in a foreing country on their own sleeping... kids wake up etc...

Agreed its very sad, but again no way would I leave my child like that.

Though I do remember being left in 1972 when I was 7 in a chalet in Butlins with a stack of sweets and comics, while everyone else went for a jolly in the evening, we where at the mercey of the red coat baby sitters :?

You do have to wonder about the parents.  Horrible as this is, they are partly to blame whatever the outcome, you simply cannot leave a 3yr old on their own, sleeping or not whilst you go out for a meal!

I hope she turns up and all is well.

schuee:
We have a three year old daughter, and I can only imagine how the parents are feeling, especially that they are to blame for the matter, however I hope that they find her quickly and the authorities pull out all the stops to do so.

This has happened only about 45 mins from me, what I cant belive is that the childs parents are both Docters, why would they leave a child alone even for 10 mins let alone to go for dinner. Its as if people come here on holiday and leave common sense at home.
