MOT Question / appeal

<< < (2/4) > >>

offroading.net:
Its a dana axle, exposed UJs in the front axle, very easy to get at.

muddydisco:
Theres a vosa web site you can put in the reg number and it will pull up the fail sheet

http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECSID-Internet-Status-Request.jsp

offroading.net:
interestinly I have been looking at that, the fail isnt listed, just last years mot!

AbyssDJ:
bit dodgy that. i keep a crowbar in our landy for a reason! looks like you need one too! :D

if a UJ was worn bad enough to be dangerous you'd know about it! our prop UJ's screamed like a banshee when they were getting a bit wobbly but far from dangerous

offroading.net:
web site working now:

Reason(s) for refusal to issue Certificate
Offside front constant velocity joint is excessively worn (2.5.C.1b)
No Advisory Notice issued

I am off there tomorrow to get them to show me the problem and give me a VT17, hope it puts the wind up them and it gets sorted.
