ticking noise

I have the same ticking noise from the offside light cluster. Have checked the inspection hatch in the boot but the ticking is coming from within the enclosed bit under the rear light cluster. The trailer electrics are located behind the near side lights behind the inspection hatch, so it isn't the trailer electrics.

Anyone discovered what it is yet?

Do you only get the ticking when you are driving along?

Still haven't found an answer to this but have removed the O/S rear light cluster to find a scary mess of wiring as below.

Looking through the light cluster hole you find a mess of wires, a small cylinder with SB2 written on it and a block that looks like it contains a couple of relays.


A closer look at the SD2 item


An even closer look


Closer look at the block with possible relays.


Closer look at the relays which have HFKS 012 SHS & 12VDC written on them.

Does anyone know what these are?.

I've also discovered that the battery is in need of a charge so it will be interesting to see if the ticking noise continues with a fully charged battery.
