ticking noise

<< < (3/5) > >>

hobbit:
Did the motor come with 2 trailer sockets, this could be something to do with that if so, some auxiliary wiring/charge circuit

Easiest thing would be unplug the relays and try i then, checking to see if you have knocked out any lights or other systems at the back, dont forget to check rear demister and wiper motor too

redhand:
have you upset anyone who has access to your disco? especially anyone of arabic descent.

Range Rover Blues:
Yes looks like the trailer wiring to me.  If the relays go to the grey cable then I'd suggest it's a voltage sensitive relay for the trailer.

I have one in Blue and it keeps switching on and off.  You don't hear it but the caravn lights switch on and off if you leave them on whilst towing.

mike142sl:
Well I've charged the battery as it was a bit low and the ticking has stopped?.

I've e-mailed a local Tow Bar fitter in the hope they can get a pos ID on these items. I'll let you know.

The Disco was originally owned by some sort of mobile servicing company so I did wonder if it was some sort of tracking device?
