ticking noise

Mark2Disco:
finally got round to sorting out the problem
it was the split charge relay that was ticking
not sure if it might have been a bad earth
but have changed relay and earth position aswell
all seems ok now

Range Rover Blues:
I notice mine might be playing up too, on modern vans the red wire going live switches the green wire off inside the van to charge the battery, there is no blue wire any more.  Well I left an interiro light on and it kept flashing, so the switch over relay was cysling on and off at random.  Might be the same thing.

the earth wire was on the mud flap bracket
which always rust away
so mines now inside the car where theres less rust
