--- Quote from: "Cheggs" ---Not just a Kenlowe the Hi Clones as well, the only other change was the annual service so new filters, the hi clones on there own made a difference increasing power slightly and improving response, I To had doubt's but they have worked in my case, I well let you know what the MPG figures now we are home and swmbo is using the Disco in it's usual role. the Hi clones gave a 15% Increase and the Kenlowe afurther 22%,
:D

I'm not saying you're wrong, and I run a Kenlowe myself, but even they only claim 8-10% improvement in their advertising. Maybe other service items or changed use produced the radical increase?
Interesting stuff about the Hiclones, have been looking at them and an uprated intercooler for a while, trying to make my mind up.

I'm not saying that of the changes I made that any one is has caused this massive improvement, but as a whole the figures speak for themselves, it was getting expensive to run but is now obtaining some where near the Manufacturer's stated 28mpg, and means I shall be able to keep the old girl. The Hi clones were fitted on their own and the vehicle was in normal use so the 15% for them is honest, the kenlowe and service just before going on Holiday (2 days) so change of use could alter the figures, as for Pacett fans being better, yes the air flow is better but they are Fractionally more expensive and aren't sold by Paddocks so you have to pay postage, so the kenlowe was the with in my budget. If I fit a larger intercooler will that further improve power and fuel economy?

Range Rover Blues:
Well I'm looking at a Kenlowe (2 in fact) for the LSE and my biggest concern is peak air flow, though TBH since I did the timing it doesn't get hot.
