Range Rover Blues:
I think the rules are a little 'muddy'. If the road, private or not, has public access to it then road rules apply, but if it is a 'closed area' then some don't, otherwise grass track racers would all be off to court. So if the campsitre only has one entrance/exit it's much harder to prosecute.
Range Rover Red:
It stinks that they can do something so reckless and get away with it. I'm just glad to know that no-one was hurt.
