Will it fit?
LANDYTIM:
its 100 quid for a TDi and 100 for a 2.5 N/A too.
so they r going in to the landys.
Rich_P:
£100 is cheap for a TDi still. Well, the ones on Ebay fetch £500 normally as a minimum.... Both the 200/300TDi & 2.5 N/A are solid engines and are very reliable.
However, the 2.5TD has a reputation of blowing up and often go for far less than a TDi engine does. Are you entirely sure it is a 200TDi?
Oh yeah, you're also mad.

nothing wrong with being mad
something to tell the grand kids.
Canada Al:
--- Quote ---Be aware that the TDi engine will kill the standard Series transmission unless you uprate it. An LT77 mated to the Series transferbox would be able to give you the strength for the transmission to last decently well...

Do you need an adapter plate for this ? or does it go straight on ?

Rich_P:
I think some sort of adaptor kit is needed... Ashcroft do one I was told.
