   got me worried now as the instructions for mine showed it after the valve not on the block....

Cal:
Hi Keith,

I've not really heard anyone else have much smoke, so I wouldn't worry too much. I think a lot of it is all the crud from the hoses being blasted out of the system (hoping anyway) so am going to clean the intercooler out at the weekend if I have time.

Check out this earlier post if you haven't seen it for EGR stuff:

http://forums.mud-club.com/viewtopic.php?t=11314&start=0

and here for cleaning intercooler if you want to do that as well:

http://www.landroverdiscovery.net/ in the tecnical section.

I used to have some pics that showed where I have put my plate, but can't find them, so will take some at the weekend.

I get the impression it doesn't matter too much what you do as longt as it blocks the air flow - I've seen a variety of ideas on other posts.

Hope that helps a bit...  :?

thanks cal :)

Horness:
Fitted mine straight to the block, but also changed to Alisport silicon hoses at the same time.

Not sure which one is responsible - but it's a smoother, more responsive ride.

Will se if I can find some pics.

I cleaned Julies 300TDi intercooler recently, lots of black s**t.  Anyway, You don't hear the turbo whistle anymore, anyone else notice this?
