landroverkeith:
Finally Fitted my egr blanking plate today  :)  "took long enough been in garage 2 months and took 3 mins to fit"
was even suprised that the funny coloured lumps of manky metal even undid with a tiny squirt of wd40 woo hoo.
Even better as i wont find out if theres any change untill friday nite when i drive it down for some surgery on the clutch.

just wondered if anyone had noticed any significant change to the car with the plate fitted?

Cal:
I finally managed to get round to doing mine last weekend.

Haven't noticed a massive difference yet - maybe slightly quicker to get the turbo spinning. The main thing I do notice is more black smoke coming from the exhaust when accelerating hard, but I did dislodge quite a lot of the black goo and the old girl is nearly ready for an oil change.

Hopefully nothing more serious than that anyway!

davidlandy:
did u blank it off before , or after the egr valve?

Cal:
Before - the blanking plate is on the engine block and have a hose without the junction on if that makes sense?

bilge rat:
did mine a while ago noticed it being smoother not too much difference in power. the good thing is when i changed it the top intercooler hose was full of oily crud ,cleaned it out. recently had the top pipe off and the difference ,a little oily but so clean !. got to be better for your motor .alan.....
