Anti offroad picture in Whitworth, Lancs
Bob696:
Top picture has been doctored (badly) with a clone brush. They didnt get the green right. Looks like they cloned the hillside upper right tbh but without the originals too hard to tell.

forgive my ignorance.. but i tought a BOAT was one of them things that float on water....
(seriously, i am actually a bit thick and not sure as to what BOAT means)
also i think the wording is twisted, altough its not entirley lies,
yes, i can say that damage is caused by 4x4`s.. but it is also caused by ramblers, livestock (look at steep hills, the "folds" in the grass!) and bikers, horse riders. should everyone be banned?
annoyance, alarm or distress - yes, but we`ve already stated that most users, not just 4x4`s generally are considerate and careful. personally i would feel more intimidated by an angry mob of ramblers than the odd group of 4x4`s!

E-mail dispatched to Lancashire County Council

Dear sir or madam,
I am writing to you to enquire about the use of the Lancashire County Council logo in the following poster, as displayed in Whitworth, Lancashire: http://nigni.com/cellar/offroad-poster.jpg. I would like to know if the LCC knew about the use of the logo, and if so then if they knew the poster was going to be as biased as it is.
It is a clearly one sided poster which I for one am very upset about. It has no sense of balance or of reason, instead it simply paints the most horrid picture to can to tarnish the repulation of 4x4 owners and drivers, most of whom are very reasonable people, and care deeply about the environment.
Thanks for reading,
David Woodend

Let's see what result that picks up.
