Any interest in a 4x4 European holiday?

Bulli:
The cave driving one is about 2 hours drive from Calais...but i think discos are too tall..mine certainly is. I think there was an advert for a challenge event there in one of the mags.I will try to dig it out.
A few days in 1 place is a good idea with kids, mine will be 5 and 3 in August. The further north you go the colder but Tromso is inside the Artic circle and still about 10 degrees in August. As you come south it is as warm as the uk ...if you head into Swenden its slightly warmer.

clips:
heya gord's. think Gayn and I would be interested. Long breaks as with others need school holidays, but a long weekend to sample some french delights sounds just as exciting!
you must have had some ideal in mind :)

Jake:
Sounds interesting.
It would be the usual family of five.
watching with interest at the moment.
 :D

Sheddy:
yes. sounds interesting, I would bring my 5 year old lad with me.  He'd love it and he's landy nutz.

gords:
OK, so far it's very clear that it would be a family event with children of all ages welcome :)

Northern Spain could be good - supposed to be good driving in the Pyrenees Mountains! Would definitely have to be for 2 weeks. An alternative might be the Picos de Europa Mountains.

The Arctic Circle also sounded good - I know nothing about it, so any extra info would be good.

That's possibly true, but it looks like it's a very good course. I think you can hire it out, but I'm not sure on costs or numbers of cars required.

Anyone have any ideas for a weekend jaunt?
