Any interest in a 4x4 European holiday?

bob 696 mentioned the boab french raid. perhaps we could find one of the routes they use. Road book journey with nice wines and big big bbq and camp site schenanagans. theres certainly a few off road sites of interest out there, so have a base camp near by to save all the unpacking and packing?

That's possibly true, but it looks like it's a very good course. I think you can hire it out, but I'm not sure on costs or numbers of cars required.

Gords, appart from me and the mrs, most of our club went to 'the 5 pillars' on the way home from Belgium and stayed an extra night. The comments were...the cave are really spooky, low ceilings in places but not challenging in terms of off-roading, easy to drive just a bit tight in places. The outside section is vast and is used by many different clubs so a lot of the sections are deeply rutted where the 35" Simex's have been through, on a bad day I was told the site would be very, very challenging indeed. As I said, not my 1st hand experience but thats what a few from our club said.

There's been a lot of press recently about Northern France short breaks and they seem interesting, easy to arrange and affordable. Maybe we could get a better 'group' deal if we could get enough interest  :lol:
