Intercooler and Radiator.
Andy.:
Read before that some have taken there intercooler out to give it a good clean and once it's re-fitted the results have been good.
So what do you clean it with, garden hose, or is there a flush/solvent that you can buy :?:
Also can this be done to the radiator, to give it a general overhaul :?:
Cheers.
ChrisW:
Found this.... quite a few bits on google under "intercooler cleaning"
http://www.sf.hiof.no/~frodehaa/engine.htm#INTERCOOLER
Not sure about the radiator - Holts do 'Radflush' but not sure if its actually any good or not... anyone?
ChrisW:
And the Genklene referred to is highly toxic and not readily available from a bit more googling... I've seen a few of the hits off google referring to using white spirit, petrol or paraffin - something like a good solvent for use on oil - you should be able to source something like that shouldnt you Andy?
Andy.:
Cheers Chris, excellent :D
No problem with the solvents sniff enough of it everyday
matthew:
Just make sure that whatever you use you make sure it is absolutely dry before connecting it back up. You don't want anything that volatile being sucked into the engine. Could make a really big bang
