FWIW, the garages around my way use parrafin to flush intercoolers out and an airhose to dry it afterwards. At least it's cheap. The best quote about the proper LR cleaning agent was from the main dealer selling it -

'It's happy where it is. At that price, mate, it'll stay on the shelf'. :lol:

Oh, on no account use water, is the common warning.

Not sure what to use for rad cleaning tho'.
