Budgie:

I normally check the filter during a normal service and also after playing in the water or dust, just to be on the safe side!

If you check the filter first and then clean it, if required, then by the time you've done everything else the filter will be dry enough to re-oil and fit!  :D

I like the K&N cos it's easy to clean and doesn't matter if it gets wet, great for what we're putting them through.  8)

Paul, if I can get the cleaner up here then you should have no problems.

Reminder to self: Used last of the cleaner on last service, must get some more!  :P

Budgie:
Forgot to say:

You should be able to clean the filter about three times with one bottle of cleaner and the oil will do for 5 or 6 applications.

Paul:
How much does it cost and where is the best place to buy it from ?

Xtremeteam:
when i was working in a performance tuning shack we used tfr(traffic film remover) in a big bucket to clean out the filters, its ok to use an airline on  a K&N but dont use 1 on an ITG or pipercross filter as it just blows it to bits
