Well we went to bala and I managed to pop out both rear springs and the tyres didn't catch so I think I'VE CUT ENOUGH Thats it, thread closed :wink:

I saw someone on the Belgium National last year who had done that and instead of the springs dislocating at the top when it was at full articulation, he had broken both lower spring retaining bars and the rear springs were dangerously close to coming off the plate on the axle and dropping the vehicles chassis onto the axle. :shock:
So make sure thoughs little plates, that secure the spring at the bottom, are strong enough to hold the full weight the axle! It's no fun trying to replace rear springs in the middle of an off-road course!! :wink:
