So why did I buy a snorkel ?

During fitment of my new snorkel I discovered the reason why I needed to buy one. I reckon I was pretty close to disaster.

Mine looked something like that after I fitted the snorkel.  Something to do with not sealing the drian hole at the bottom of the airbox  :oops:

Did that Simon. There's 5 small drain holes in the bottom of a 300 tdi air box. Now duly filled with silicone. There's something to be said for filling any damn hole or lump and bump with silicone when fitting a snorkel.

Oh...and I'm still waiting for my rocksliders  :evil:

I did the same as simon with about 2" of water in the air box....

I bet it went a bit better after replacing that air filter!  :wink:

Even with a snorkle fitted I still check the filter box after playing in the water, you never know!  :?
