Challenger/L200 what's the difference?
robbie:
Instead of diff-lock, they have 'limited slip diff' on the rear (maybe front as well)
The bigger Shogun does have diff lock as standard. To be honest, I never really noticed any problems with the traction when I went off road and I did laning and site type terrain
Mind you, I didnt push it too far as it was my every day car too, neither do I push to much with the Disco... cant afford for it to be off the road
alaric:
Challenger is still the name for the grey import from Japan - whereas Shogun Sport is the name vehicles originally sold in the UK (But Robbie is right in saying that it was sold in the UK as Challenger when first launched).
The big Mitsi 4 x 4's all have a centre diff lock as standard, but depending on age, options and original market may have open, limited slip or locking rear diffs.
Alaric.
toger:
So the air locker as standard on a mitsi is just BS?
Thanks guys
alaric:
Rear diff lock is an option, but it's electronic.
It's rare on Pajero's, but a bit more common on Shoguns.
Alaric.
toger:
Any ideas on the L200 please?
