Challenger/L200 what's the difference?

<< < (3/3)

robbie:
The L200 technically is pretty much the same as the Sport. It does appear to have greater height on the rear, I think this is because it will be 'expected' to carry more weight.

The suspension at the rear of the L200 is leaf and not coil so does bounce around alot when empty in the rear. Some just carry one or two paving stones in there to stop that. The Sport was fine

Other than that, pretty much the same. Less leg room in the rear seats as they have moved them forward to give more pickup space

Test drive for a good few miles as they do suffer from clutch problems. mine only came about after driving for around 25 miles!!!! Then the clutch 'chattered' like mad. Turned out to be the clutch plate. Mitsubishi will probbly NOT cure the problem if it out of warranty.

Ground clearance can be altered by making adjustments ot the suspension on both back and front, I think the torsion bar is the key to that

cssuk:
the rear locker on my paj is an air locker has its own air pump in the rear these are quite common on shoguns but pajs tend in the main to have a rear lsd

robbie:
Mine was definately a Shogun and not a Paj but had a LSD not air locker
