Computer techie question

Colin 009:
Hi tenpolequint, didn't post a question yet.  :?

Hi M, video card works fine plug'n' play and all that. :)

thermidorthelobster:
Even with plug 'n' play you may find you need to install the most recent driver, if you've not already.

I found Spybot tended to miss some stuff, but Ad-Aware (free for personal use) was more adept at picking up malware in general.  (Now I use a Mac so don't have to worry about this crap :))

Personally I'd go Windows Update as a first attempt to fix.

Colin 009:
Windows updates automaticaly.

gnasha:

Manicminer:
Is your sound card still in the computer?
Maybe you had a combined sound/video card and you have thrown it out when changing the old card.
