diesel consumption 300tdi/door handles
john656:
My 300 TDi (bone stock) consumption. best ive had is £25 (109 p/l) to about 110miles give or take. CBA to work it out but i know its around the same as my petrol focus if not better seeing as i would put 25 in that for the week and diesel is more expensive.
Range Rover Blues:
Pump up the tyres, change the oil, fit a K&N, clean out the inlet manifold, check the injectors and fit a sports exhaust. I can get 33 out of our 300 if I drive really carefully, and that's knocking about locally so what it could do on a run I don't know. 25 is normal.
My sister can get 30 out of her 300 auto and 21 towing the 'van :-.

Reading this i thought i had posted it, describes my M reg 300 TDI fuels consumption exactly.
Mine goes up and down every week, and i go on the £20 top up too. I find makes a big difference on where you get your fuel from also, super market of BP etc. and i get a lot more mile on a decent run than , my usual round town driving.
I found that the more i bolt on, and with bigger tyres, its best to just not worry about fuel consumption too much, or we will all be driving sensible motors.
