They are one of the few (if not the only?) companies to offer true off road cover. As you say, unless its a competition you're fine.
I think that they have only been doing it for a couple of years now?

Greenlaning is driving on byways etc that you need to conform to the road traffic act therefore any insurance company that tells you that they don't cover it are talking crap! My insurers tried it, I said "crap" They said oh OK!! and put it in writing for me.
Offroading is just that, you are driving on private land with the land owners permission, be it a pay and play site or a mates farm. It is very rare to get insurance for that.

I would personally check with the insurance company. There is a legal difference between a byway and a high way. If the insurance company can get out of paying, they will.
For sake of argument, the isuzu troopers owners club prefered insurance company (4x4 specialist) does NOT cover for green lanes. The make the distincation that a byway is not a high way. That's a 4x4 insurance company and a club scheme.
For the price of a phone call, check.
Llanigraham:
But under the Highways Act a "byway open to all traffic" is a highway, so can you explain how they can go "above the law"?
dxmedia:
Nope, but when I was on the phone to a few companies a few years ago several said that they wouldn't, so I went to other companies who said that they would.
I personally wouldn't fancy getting in a legal battle with an insurance company if a claim had to be made.

Im guessing that this is a 3rd party cover? or does it cover you for damage to your landie.
Greenlaning cover doesnt mean much in scotland.
