Now there was a tyre, I believe that Insa Turbo are doing a remould version these days? But unless they are good for 100K then sod them

I had a set of Trac edge off a mate, he ran them for 40K then I ran them for 25K and sold them on with plenty useable tread. Great tyres

Devon-Rover:
;) My latest ebay purchase happens to be a set of 4 trac edges. All with about 10mill of tread on them

I've got the new Insa 'Traction Track' (copy of Trac Edge)on my V8 off-roader D1 in 265/75/16, superb tyres highly recommended and cheap too. Can't vouch for the wear rate though as it is only really used off road.

On my road going 300tdi I have just fitted 245/70/16 BFG AT's as they will last forever, tried AT2's in the past but the sidewalls are just too soft for my liking, very easily punctured and cornering is poor as they wobble.

old joe:
BFG's AT all the time i had them on my old disco transferred them to the new disco and wouldn't be without them best tyre's I've ever boought if they only done them for the ford focus CC3 aswell LOL

Chris Putt:
I had a set of grabber AT2s on mine. I thought they were appalling. they were ok on dry roads, and grass but on wet roads EVEN the insa turbo saharas that replaced offered more grip, as well as on every other surface (yes- I know they are an MT) they were quickly well out of there depth on anything approaching wet mud. They also werent that much quieter- I would personally stump up the extra cash and get a set of BFG ATs (there was a set on one of the work vehicles I used to use- they were very good) OR a set of KL71s- which are impressive both on and of road!
