AT Tyres on standard Disco - which ones??
JimP:
Want to put soem AT's on my new 300tdi, it's total bog stadard at the minute and I want to keep it that way fot the time being, as I bought it as a tow vehicle.
However, I do want to do some green laning in it, so want to fit some AT's
What size can i fit on standard suspension and without doing any body mods?
Will probably be fitting some modulars to it too, but at the moment it's on standard alloys
Cheers
Jim
Disco Matt:
Standard size is 235/70 R16 - those won't need anything to be touched.
You can get 245/75 R16 on, but you will need to tweak the steering lock stops and trim a tiny bit of metal off where the rear wing folds in just behind the rear wheel. You won't notice that unless you're really looking for it, and the extra height is worth having.

Ditto - use BFG ATs

Hi
I agree with the above.
I had 245/75/16's on my disco and it didn't actually need any triming. A mate runs Kumho KL71's in that size on his and hasn't had to trim his either.
I think BFG AT's are great, I run them on my Defender and they do everything I ask of them greenlaning etc.
