One of those complicated puzzles.

the first thing I did was go to the timber merchants where I have been before but they have now moved to another town. They were so helpful as well.  :'(

As for the slippery floor. My dog LOVES slippery floors. she runs on them and just slides around. School sports halls are her favourite!! I am going to screw some carpet onto the wood though. I got some free yesterday from a very kind fitter at a carpet shop. He had some old carpet in his van and he cut it to fit the back of the ranger. even got enough to put on the tail gate and roll over the edge to protect the paint work.   All for free too. He wouldn't accept any money for it.

william127:
have you got a truckman type top on the ranger then as surely you can fit a 6 x5 in the pickup bit, if you tie it down? couldnt you take down all the measurements at home, take a saw and a measure wtih you and cut it up in the carpark ?

muddyjames:
it is indeed a truckman top type.

I have thought about cutting it in the car park but I think I would feel a right wolly doing it and also it would be tricky with no proper work bench to get a nice straight line.

the carpet I have will be screwed with washers on top to hardboard and the hardboard will have a sliding bolt like in loos and shed doors fixed in 2 places and then 2 small holes made in the load liner to slide the bolts into, to stop the whole lot moving when poch jumps in or out.

T30CDB:
if it is a sheet of hardboard simply roll it up. if it is plywood you will need to cut it

Monkeymantulp:
Borrow the van and park outside of the height barrier..
