Blue72:
as another note, ive seen the quick disconnect for the front sway bar, what about the back?
I dont want to remove the back for the sake of laning a couple of times a month so can you do the quick disconnects on the back too?
Still saving my pennies for the rockyroad 3.5" kut :)

at's are also far better in snow and sand then mt's, and just as capable on rock due to the increased surface area.
Don't get me wrong, mt's have a place (hence the simex at the bottom of the garden), but IMO at's are best for general use.

The lanes we do often need M/T, often after heavy rain. Not just to get through them, but also you will not need to damage them by spinning AT's. What you probably don't need is really aggressive muds.
A few of us have recently got Maxxis Buckshot muds, excellent off road and on road (used for lanes and P&P sites) on road very good quite at 70mph. Good value as well.
Rear disconnents... most people just remove the rear sway bar, try it and see if you feel you need it back on again. I have removed both rear bars from my Jeeps with front disconnects on the Wrangler but not the Cherokee, you'll prob be fine leaving them on IMO for lanes.
Hope all this helps, Maf

So the Overland has rock rails & underbody protection as standard ? I didn't know that ! What does the u/p consist of ?
You know Popoff I might just wait 'til you sell yours & buy that off you rather than spending my money on doing mine !!
It's interesting hearing what people do to their Jeeps & what the results are !!
Does the steering pull much with the road camber ? Mine does that just a bit with standard suspension & tyres
And in hindsight, would you have gone with a softer shock on the rear ?
Like Andy - I want to retain the integrity of my Jeep as a road cruiser, but capable enough to see me on green lanes & the odd p & p

Im very happy with it with the h/d springs and shock so would fit them again, :D
the pulling to the left has got a bit worse after the lift and m/t's, depending on the road, just done 260 motorway and A road miles (used a full tank) and dident notice, so not a big problem, but on a B road with a bigger camber it can be quite noticable
the Copper STT Mud's are very good on the road, you can hear them but not too much, also grip far better than you would think :P
Re fitting M/T's or A/T's, yes the a/t would be better for everyday driving, and better for Sand, but as I say I am very happy with the m/t's and they just look the Dog's
Oh, and always open to offers mate, have to be a good one though, have spent a small fortune
The Smiths:
The main reason Jeep pull to the left is that they are designed to drive on the right hand side of the road.
The wheel base on the lefthand side is slightly less than on the right - so that it drives straight when on a camber on the right hand side of the road.
Jeep just do not change this for righthand drive cars
J66P:
ten bob and a tooth pick sounds like a good deal
