OOPS problem need help.. just knackered plug thread in head
BobtailBogey:
As title really just rushing to get everything back on the engine while its raining and got to the last one and cross threaded it.
that will teach me to double check before ploughing in.
have tried a few times to straighten it up and tighten it but its having none of it.
what are the options to sort it?
will it be head off?
just as i thought i was getting somewhere :(
Big Naughty:
Which bolt is it? If its one of the auxhilliary bolts you may get away with drilling and tapping for a larger stud. Main head bolts are a bit more troublesome!

BobtailBogey:
sorry should of made it clearer.
its where the plug goes in.
Big Naughty:
Sorry - probly my fault. I kno w people who have tapped the plug thread out and put a larger diameter plug in. You never know, soemone may have invented a tapped sleave that you can fit in!
Might be easier just to change the head if oyu have the budget.
Sorry I wasn't much help, but good talking to you.

BobtailBogey:
dont really wanna change the head asi have a very good V8 with only 52k on it so dont wanna mess with it too much.
