<< < (2/3) > >>

Jake:
The Smittybilt winch is a decent budget winch
Cost about £250 inc vat

What ever winch you decide on I'd sugest you have twin batteries and a slit charger. Well worth the investment.

topless matt:
Well that depends on what battery you have, how much winching you do and the size of the winch.
My 90 has a 9500tds goodwinch on the front with only one battery and it has never let me down.......... it is a tractor battery tho
However, i know loads of people that only have one battery and do fine!

twin batterys is sound advice but a split charge system is not required.
You can run the 2 batteries in parrallel for winch purposes.
Split charge is great if you have things that will drain a battery like camping lights & a fridge
You can run a winch on a single battery. Just make sure the car is always running and you'll be fine
 :D
