If you goto screwfix, they sell adhesive that will stick s**t to s**t without  any bother, so it should be simple to stick steel to anything else...

If you follow the fibre glass path, you could always use the paste version, works like filler but grips as a fibre glass quite solid

Interesting.  Think I'll wander over to Halfords tomorrow to see what's what.  I looked at No More Nails earlier, but apparently it needs at least one porous surface.  I don't think the steel has quite got that bad yet!

We fastened the rear wings to the wheel arches on the Suzie last year with fibreglass patches and then paste. It is still holding :)
