Although you prob wont want to drill holes in the outer skin on the vehicle, if you hole the inner piece it will give more grip to the paste, unless you dont mind drilling holes into the panels, just dent the holes in a  bit, the past will then spread out into the dent on the outside, then can be rubbed down, filled and sprayed over. Like a fibre glass rivet

Use seakaflex or stikaflex you can get it from boat yards and it is used for sticking decks to hulls is is the strongest stuff I have ever seen :shock:

we used it a few years ago to assemble tha body of a camper van comes in loads of colours too. :D
